Casa Leluya

The Beach
Pristine Playa del Zacatitos is a ten-minute walk and one of the few swimmable beaches in the entire Cabo area.

Further to the east (about 30 miles) you reach Cabo Pulmo National Park with its coral reefs and sea life (Jacques Cousteau called the Sea of Cortez the aquarium of the world ). Great for scuba diving and snorkeling, and you will pass some of the best surf spots in all of Mexico on the way.
The Space
Casa Leluya is an architectural masterpiece. It has been featured in many articles and magazines. Designed by renowned Canadian architect Javier Campos, it's a stunning centerpiece in the East Cape integrated into the desert landscape.
'We tried to create forms that are very simple and mirror the desert. The house has the most minimal but essential sense of domestic luxury. It's all there; it's just very pared down' [Javier Campos, Architect]
The house is eco-friendly with stunning 360 views of the ocean and the desert. It runs 100% on solar power. It does not require air-conditioning, because the unique design allows for cooling airflows throughout.
It has all the modern conveniences - washing machine, dishwasher, refrigerator, freezer, barbeque, high-speed wireless internet, and cell phone signal (Verizon, T-Mobile, ATT). There is no TV, but there are books, games, and a beautiful swimming pool. There is also a gas fire pit which is great in the evening when the sky is full of stars.
The Surroundings
It's a 10-minute walk to the beach and a 5-minute walk to Zac's Bar & Grill. Halfway to San Jose is Buzzards for great food, and Drunkin Sailor is located in La Playita. Flora Farms, Acre and Tamarindos are other great eating establishments nearby.
Zacatitos has a small Farmer's Market on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. Just ask someone and they will direct you to where it is. Get there early enough to get fresh fish, veggies, eggs, chicken, tamales, bread, etc. Central Station sells beer, cold drinks, chips and other snacks, and you can get great coffee and healthy breakfast at Coco Loco. There’s a larger organic market in San Jose on Saturdays (starting in November) and the famous Art Walk every Thursday evening right in San Jose.
20 minutes to the west is San Jose, the nearest town with art galleries, great restaurants, and 5-star hotels and entertainment.
